ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT/HUMAN RESOURCES INTERN DESCRIPTION

We are seeking motivated college students with excellent written and oral communication skills for paid internships in the fall.  Ideal candidates will be in their junior or senior year, working towards a Bachelor’s in Human Resources or Human Resources Management.

imre’s program will introduce students to the business of Human Resources and will offer them exposure to Talent Management and Employee Relations & Record Keeping.  Interns will have an opportunity to work across our locations and as a member of a small, tight knit team, this position will have opportunities to work with the HR department as well as the Administrative department.

 

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Talent Management activities that interns will support include posting job descriptions to numerous career boards and sites, assisting with scheduling interviews, running background checks, identifying pipeline candidates and assisting with scheduling new employee orientations
  • Employee Relations & Record Keeping activities that interns will support include HR/Accounting Filing, conducting file audits, documenting I-9’s, scanning and filing HR documents, updating company org chart & company roster and creating sabbatical letters
  • Additional responsibilities include:
    • Answering phones and handling receptionist duties during Administrative Assistant’s lunch hour
    • Assisting with event planning; Fall Retreat, Company Move, Holiday Events, etc.
    • Conducting salary & employee engagement research
  • Other duties as assigned

    • Typing, composing, proofing, filing, entering data into MAC-based computer network, maintaining records, following up on details and meeting deadlines.

  • Time commitment of 16 hours per week, so that students have the chance to get involved with in-depth account work week (must fall within our core business hours, which are M-F 8:30-5:30)
