We’re looking for a motivated, hard-working, organized, team-oriented communicator who is interested in learning the full spectrum of marketing communications and brand reputation management. imre’s AAEs provide PR, marketing, communications and account management/workflow support.

As a member of a dynamic, integrated team, this AAE will have opportunities to gain experience in the business of marketing and public relations on behalf of a wide array of leading consumer brands focused in the automotive, durable goods and sports industries.

Principle Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Identify and pitch media story ideas that tie into the news of the day
  • Support development and management of timelines, reports and research materials
  • Develop media pitches that get editor/writer attention and motivate coverage for a strong roster of clients
  • Work directly with clients to develop content including news releases, stories for company blogs, fact sheets, newsletters and more
  • Utilize organizational skills to help the team manage all day-to-day activities
  • Monitor the media for coverage and client opportunities
  • Independently manage integrated projects across agency disciplines (strategy and insights, social, PR, research, creative) and cross-functional teams and offices (Los Angeles, New York and Baltimore)
  • Answer inquiries from the media, clients and the general public, which requires comprehensive knowledge of our business and our client partners’ businesses and industries
  • Assist in the planning and organization of client special events, media events and tradeshows
  • Participate in brainstorming and strategic planning sessions and exercises
  • Provide professional support to team with social media, digital and creative project management as well as audience and trend research – and is able to connect PR efforts to opportunities through paid social and creative campaigns
  • Represent agency in various professional settings or other associations deemed appropriate by supervisor according to the professional development plan

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • 1-2 years agency and/or corporate marketing experience (knowledge of the automotive, mobility or transportation industry is ideal)
  • Exceptional oral and written communications skills, and knowledge of communications techniques and typical agency processes in order to coordinate successful campaigns and programs
  • Established media relations skills
  • The ability to work in a deadline-focused, multi-tasking environment where prioritization is critical to success
  • Natural ability to be manage all details, think creatively and innovatively and self-motivate
  • Strong problem solving and conceptual skills; to coordinate daily communications and project management activities; to prepare reports and analyses; to project trends and developments in the field through research and industry/audience immersion
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interact with a variety of internal and external audiences, representing the agency and clients
  • The ability to serve as a brand ambassador for clients, ensuring all deliverables meet brand standards and guidelines
  • A thorough working knowledge of all major social media channels
  • Experience in AP style writing
  • Skilled in Cision, Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, and Google Docs
  • Bachelor’s degree (Journalism, Public Relations, Communications or other related fields)
