General Summary:

imre is an integrated marketing agency specializing in advertising, digital marketing, social media and public relations. imre is looking for a passionate, creative, organized, team oriented and hard-working communicator who is interested in learning the full spectrum of the marketing communications business. imre’s AAEs provide marketing, communications, administrative, and clerical support for account teams. As a member of a small, tight knit team, this AAE will have opportunities to learn the business of marketing and public relations on behalf of a wide array of consumer brands.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assists account executives in the development of overall client strategic plans and goals by providing administrative support.
  • Supports development and management of timelines, reports and research materials.
  • Provides professional support to account executives with social media, digital and creative project management as well as audience and trend research.
  • May draft and edit various communication vehicles such as: news releases, feature stories, pitch angles, news letters, public service announcements, letters, memos, strategic plans, crisis communication plans, account summaries and brochures, etc.
  • AAE may assist in the planning and organization of client special events.
  • Participates in brainstorming and strategic planning sessions with members of agency. 
  • Represents agency in various professional societies or other associations deemed appropriate by supervisor.
  • Answers routine inquiries from the media, clients and general public, which requires knowledge of operations, activities, policies, and procedures, and other client related activities. Directs callers to appropriate individuals as needed. Transmits sensitive and confidential information to appropriate employees and clients.
  • Uses MAC-based computer network to create letters, memos, budgets, reports, news releases, client correspondence, etc. Corrects grammar, punctuation or spelling as needed. Edits as needed. Proofreads all typed materials.
  • Files, purges, and retrieves a wide variety of materials, some of which are highly confidential.
  • Performs related routine clerical duties, such as photocopying, collating, and distributing materials, ordering supplies, retrieving and distributing mail, filing, etc.
  • Assists with monitoring media placements and maintains tracking and reporting documents to measure account performance against KPIs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: 

  • Work requires the ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate with diverse internal and external audiences, compose routine press releases and business correspondence, perform arithmetic computations and type using word processing equipment. The skills necessary are normally acquired through a bachelor’s degree program in mass communications, public relations, English, journalism or a closely related field. 
  • Work requires knowledge of office practices, and agency procedures for composing routine press releases and/or project management marketing initiatives, normally acquired through one to two years of related office experience, preferably in an integrated marketing or advertising office.
  • Work requires interpersonal skills sufficient to deal effectively with a diverse group of internal and external callers and visitors, including print and broadcast media and clients, often involving confidential matters and requiring social sensitivity and communications skills.
  • Work requires analytical abilities sufficient to prepare expense statements and travel vouchers, diagnose common computer errors and balance activities.
  • Work requires typing, composing, proofing, filing, entering data into MAC-based computer network, maintaining records, following up on details and meeting deadlines.

Reporting Relationships:

Reports to Account Manager. 

Working Conditions:

Normal office environment, where there is no physical discomfort due to temperature, dust, noise, or smoke.
